How it’s made?:

The cutters themselves are cut from a so-called “blank”. This blank, made of special hard metal mixtures, has a sintered base shape that is such that as little exclusive and expensive carbide base material as possible has to be removed.

The blanks are then CNC cut and finished at our production facilities. The cutting itself is done very accurately and, depending on the type of cutter, can take between 20 and 50 minutes per piece. After an extensive quality control the cutters are provided with a specific coating. This coating makes the cutters extra hard and smoothens the cutters surface even more. This gives them even better cutting properties, which in addition to comfort and speed also optimizes the cutters life time.

Advantages of patented Beveltools cutters compared to other solutions:

  • The Beveltools cutters have the advantage over grinding discs that the removed metal falls down like small chips. Grinding discs, blow the metal into the workshop as fine dust particles. This results in a bad and unhealthy working climate.
  • Because the Beveltools cutters mill the metal, it produces much less noise than when machining with grinding discs or tools using inserts. The latter have a much less milling effect and chop off the edge more than they mil. 
  • The cutting operation by the Beveltools milling ensures a minimal amount of vibration of the machine. Working with machines that generate a lot of vibrations is bad for the health of the user. HAVS gets more and more attention worldwide.
  • Because the cutters have many more cutting edges than a head with inserts, the Beveltools cutters last much longer. For example, with a radius 3-08 / version 3.0 cutter, sometimes more than 300 meters can be milled on S355. This means for you a low price per meter due to the long tool life and also due to the absence of machine downtime which is necessary to completely replace or turn sanding discs / inserts.
  • The end result is significantly better than when using sanding discs or inserts. After processing with a Beveltools cutter post-processing is almost never necessary. This also saves time and ultimately reduces costs.
  • If you want to quickly switch between e.g. a 15 ° cutter and a radius 4mm cutter can do this within 30 seconds. On a machine that uses inserts, a completely different adapter head must first be mounted on the machine because the head on which the inserts are screwed is only suitable for a limited number of angles or radii.
  • Due to their smooth cutting action, bevel tools give the advantage that no heat is added to the material to be machined. As a result, there is no chance of deformation of the metal sheets and there is no discoloration of the machined cutting edge.
  • Our cutters use very compact guide bearings, so you can simply leave sheet metal of 10mm thickness on the surface while you work the edges. Machining holes is possible from a diameter of 16mm.

  • Always the same maximum working depth of 6mm
  • Suitable for all BevelMite® machines
  • 2 Versions: version 3.0 for use on normal construction steel, harder steels, laser / plasma cut edges and a specific ALU cutter for use on aluminum
  • Variants available for chamfering:
    15°, 22,5°, 30°, 37,5°, 45°, 52.5° en 60°
  • Variants available for rounding:
    2mm, 3mm and 4mm

New: version 3.0 cutters. The quality, fit and coating are optimized in the 3.0 version, making them optimally suitable for harder steels (such as S355) and laser / plasma cut edges. Due to the applied improvements, the city time of this cutter has increased by 200%, certainly in combination with the 3.0 machines. Version 3.0 will only be available in the most common angles and radii

STL cutters can be used on standard structural steel like S235. Due to the much wider applicability of the version 3.0 cutters, the STL cutters will gradually disappear from the range

Aluminum cutters can be used on all non-ferrous metals but also on plastics such as polycarbonate, HDPE, LDPE, carbon composite and so on. The ALU cutters are also extremely suitable for working at high speeds.

Perfect guide bearings

The precision guide bearings produced in Europe complete the cutter. You will receive a new guide bearing with every cutter you order. The diameter of the BevelMite® guide bearing is 14 mm so that you can round holes with a diameter from 16 mm. With the slightly larger BevelMate® guide bearings, rounding of holes from 22mm is possible. For chamfering holes allow a few extra millimeters for the minimum diameter of the hole.
